Since Franz-Kremer-Station was heavily strained by junior and professional teams, the pitch was equipped with hybrid turf in 2016. For this purpose, a special mixture containing natural cork was applied for the turf-bearing layer. Considering the limited time frame for the given tasks, we covered the playing field with Evergreen growth foil immediately after sowing in order to guarantee optimal growing conditions for the grass. Eight weeks after sowing, the hybrid turf was installed.
